So, as luck would have it….After taking 343 out of quarters at Ft Pitt, because of a Memorial Tribute later in the morning, 343 was taken over to Brooklyn Navy Yard for a few potential drivers to get accustomed to the rig.
However, after a few minutes of inspection it was discovered that the top engine radiator hose was porous, and deemed unsafe by Danny Prince.
Immediately, without hesitatio,n the great FDNY crew sprang into action to remove and replace the faulty hose so that we could be on our way in time for the 1 PM start of the Brooklyn Bay Ridge Columbus Day Parade.
Thanks to all who have always and will always support FDNY Fire Family Transport Foundation efforts.
We have more repair pictures here. We also have galleries of the Brooklyn Bay Ridge Columbus Day Parade and the NYC Columbus Day Parade.
Southern Wine and Spirits, a big supporter of our Foundation and the Terry Farrell Foundation, invited us to attend the Burger Bash in Brooklyn on Friday, October 10th. Pat Concannon, Joe Drennan and his wife Marge, Eugene Stolowski and his wife Brigid, and Butch Moran attended the event.
The night was filled with great entertainment and many good burgers. We would like to thank Southern Wine & Spirits for the invite and for all the support that they give to us and the Farrell Foundation through out the year.
