FDNY Fire Family Transport Foundation is always there for those who need us. But did you ever stop to think of how?Fortunately, dedicated volunteers give unselfishly of themselves to get the job done.Mike Stallone, a former U.S. Marine and volunteer, has made it his business to always provide transport for Engine 343 for distant events.
Owner of Owls Head Equipment Co., Mike has dedicated his professional driving experience, time, effort, fuel, and most importantly, his exquisite Kenworth Tractor and Low Boy Hydraulic Trailer for the long distance trips to Shanksville Pennsylvania, last year for the Iron and Steel Run, and the latest trip to Baltimore Maryland, for this year’s FireHouse Expo. In addition he will be on hand for this year’s Iron and Steel Run to Ft. Benning, Georgia on September 11th.
Mike can always be counted on to provide support from his vast knowledge for the construction and rigging of the steel beams that are donated to Shanksville and Ft. Benning, and we all appreciate his interest and dedication to our mission.
Thanks Mike Stallone!

On November 5th, at the FDNY/USMC Association celebration of the Marine Corp birthday, the Foundation dedicated FFT 17.
This new vehicle, a Ford Flex, was dedicated in the memory of Firefighter Michael Reilly of Engine 75, who died in the line of duty in August, 2006. FFT 17 was purchased with a donation that was made by the Reilly Family. We thank the Reilly Family for their donation and we know that this vehicle will serve the Department and its members and families well.
We’ve got more great pictures in the gallery.
It was raining hard in Brooklyn, but the sun was shining on the FDNY Fire Family Transport Foundation a few days ago, as we officially unveiled FFT #14.
We’d like to thank the Southern Wine & Spirits of America Foundation and the Terry Farrell Firefighters Scholarship Fund for this donation.
The FDNY Fire Family Transport Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, listed with the IRS and exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. This organization is required to file an IRS Form 990 or 990-EZ. Contributions are deductible, as provided by law.
Since 1993, we have provided transportation services to over 500 families as they have visited loved ones in hospitals, shuttled them to medical treatments, and, unfortunately, too often, attended their funerals.
Our work could not be possible without contributions from caring individuals like you.
Thank you for deciding to donate to our cause. Any amount is appreciated.
